Police lose drugs in sniffer dog test

A BAG of drugs being used in the training of police sniffer dogs has gone missing.

Officers at Tayside Police are appealing for help in recovering the drugs, which have a street value of around 500.

Police have confirmed the bag, which contains a controlled substance, went missing in the Forfar area last Wednesday afternoon.

Packages were hidden as a "refresher" exercise for two experienced sniffer dogs.

A police spokeswoman said one of the packages had not been recovered, despite subsequent searches.
