Police launch probes into two mysterious deaths

POLICE are probing two mystery deaths in the Lothians. An investigation was launched after the discovery of a man’s body on the shore at Cramond on Saturday morning.

Police requested the assistance of the Queensferry lifeboat, which was launched and helped in the recovery of the body.

No information has been released concerning the identity of the dead man and no name has yet been issued. A police spokesman said their inquiries were still at an early stage.

A second investigation was launched in Armadale after the body of a 67-year-old man who was found in his home in Mayfield Drive on Saturday.

His death is being treated as suspicious, and inquiries are underway in the area to establish the circumstances.
