Police issue drugs alert

POLICE have appealed for help in finding a bottle of prescription medicine which was lost and could prove dangerous.

The small white bottle of dihydrocodeine was lost sometime between 10am and 1pm on Friday at Belhaven beach, near Dunbar in East Lothian.

A police spokesman said: "As with all medication, this can prove highly dangerous if not taken as prescribed. We would ask anyone who may have found it to hand it in to police as a matter of urgency."
