Police inquiry into two building fires

Two fires which caused "extensive damage" in the same area of a city are being treated as suspicious, police said yesterday.

Both blazes broke out in the north-west side of Aberdeen in the early hours of Saturday morning. Grampian Fire and Rescue Service tackled the blazes at the derelict Stoneywood Mill Sports Centre, on Stoneywood Road, and the old Bankhead Academy in Greenburn Drive.
