Police inquiry after body is washed up

POLICE have launched an investigation after a body was washed up at Strathlene beach in Buckie, Moray.

Grampian Police confirmed they were told that the body of an elderly man had been found at about 10am yesterday at Portessie, close to the golf course and caravan site.

A police spokesperson said: "A report will be submitted to the procurator-fiscal."
