Police in hit and run plea

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 21-year-old man was the victim of a hit and run accident in the Capital.

The casualty is suffering from what could be “life-changing injuries” following the incident that took place on Kirk Brae just before 2am on Sunday morning.

He is currently in the city’s Western General Hospital, where he is being treated for serious injuries.

He was on his own at the time and crossing Kirk Brae after being dropped off by a taxi when he was struck by another vehicle which did not stop.
