Police identify body found in West Lothian burn

THE body of the man found in a burn in West Lothian has been identified.

The body was discovered in the water near Holmes Court in Broxburn at around 9am on Saturday.

The man was white, middle-aged, with short balding hair.

When he was found he was wearing a tan brown jacket, royal blue T-shirt, jeans, and distinctive grey over-the-ankle boots with buckles on them. He was also wearing a gold chain.

Lothian and Borders Police thanked members fo the public who responded to an appeal for information.

Officers have yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who thinks they may have heard a disturbance or seen anyone in the water near to where he was found between Friday afternoon and the time he was found on Saturday morning.
