Police hunt pervert who flashed at jogger

A FLASHER who exposed himself to a woman jogging beside the Union Canal is being hunted by police.

The 32-year-old victim was jogging when she noticed the suspect standing underneath the bridge over the Union Canal at Viewforth. As she passed, he indecently exposed himself to her.

It is thought the suspect may have made off west along the canal towpath towards Meggetland following the incident at around 7pm on Monday.

He is described as being dark-skinned, aged between 25 and 35, 5ft 10in tall, medium build, short dark hair, with dark stubble and wearing glasses. He was wearing a blue short-sleeved polo shirt, and khaki cargo trousers.

A police spokesman said: "We want anyone who was in the area of the Union Canal towpath on Monday evening, who may have noticed someone matching the suspect's description, to contact police immediately.

"Similarly, anyone who recognises his description, or who has any other information that can help our inquiries, should also get in touch."
