Police hunt man who mugged teen at ATM

A TEENAGER was robbed by a mugger who forced him to withdraw money from a cash machine.

The 19-year-old was walking through the underpass at Potterrow when the suspect approached him at 6pm on Thursday. He threatened the victim, and ordered him over to the Bank of Scotland cash machine in Bristo Square and made him make a withdrawal before fleeing.

Police believe the suspect was also behind the failed robbery of a man in Warrender Park Road in Marchmont at 4:30pm.
