Police received a report that several young children who were playing in the park were approached and spoken to by a man they didn’t know.

The man is described as Asian, mid 50s to 60s, of average build and was wearing a blue cap and grey suit.

Detective Sergeant Steven MacKenzie said: “It appears there was no attempt by the man to encourage the children to leave the park at any time but we would, nevertheless, like to speak to the man in order to satisfy ourselves that the contact was innocuous.

“We would like to hear from anyone who was in the park today and has any information. Similarly if think you might be the person in question, then we would be grateful if you could get in touch.”
Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
