Police hunt for bag-snatchers

POLICE have appealed for information to help catch bag-snatchers who targeted two young women in the Capital.

A 23-year-old and a 20-year-old were attacked in separate incidents on Thursday.

In the first assault, a 20-year-old woman was approached from behind while walking near the St James Centre at around 7:20pm.

Just over an hour later, a woman was walking alone in Thirlestane Road when the suspect grabbed her handbag and tried to wrestle it from her grasp.
