Police to get name badges

Leicestershire: Police officers are to be identified by more than their collar number as part of a pilot scheme revealed today.

Officers are believed to be the first in the country to be issued with new epaulets embroidered with their full names.

London: An Asian RAF medic who claimed he was racially abused and assaulted by senior colleagues has had his case rejected.

The British-born serviceman alleged he was called "Paki" and "terrorist" as well as being grabbed around the throat and threatened in 2007.

But an employment tribunal in London dismissed his claims.
