Police discover cannabis farm worth £250k

A CANNABIS farm capable of producing drugs worth £250,000 has been discovered by police after a raid on a home in Newbridge.

About 900 plants and associated growing equipment were discovered within the attic of the address following the operation at about 5pm on Friday.

Further inquiries are under way to identify those responsible.

A police spokesman said: "This was an extensive and well-established cultivation that had the potential to yield a sizeable profit. Inquiries are ongoing to establish their identity, and we would welcome any information.

"In the meantime, we will continue in our efforts to uncover cannabis cultivations."
