Police close part of M8 after ‘serious incident’
EMERGENCY services have been dealing with a “serious incident” on the M8 in West Lothian, it has emerged.
Police officers closed the westbound carriageway between junction three at Livingston and junction 3A, Bathgate, after they were called to the scene at around 8.30pm.
Traffic diversions are in place but police have not yet confirmed the nature of the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: “Officers are on scene at the moment and dealing with it.”
