Police catch alcohol teens

TEN teenagers were caught with alcohol by police officers on patrol in a Lothian town.

Two girls, aged 14 and 15, were caught with alcohol in the Woodbine Gardens area of Prestonpans at 10:50pm on Friday.

The teenagers were taken by police to their home addresses, where they were issued with a police warning.

On the following evening at 7:50pm, officers seized a quantity of alcohol from a group of eight boys, all aged 15 and from the Prestonpans area, who were gathered on Preston Road. The alcohol was confiscated and disposed of.
