Police car on call crashes into taxi

AN investigation is under way after a police car collided with a taxi on Princes Street.

The police vehicle had been responding to a call when the accident happened at the junction with Hanover Street at about 9.30pm on Saturday.

A police spokeswoman said: "Whenever a police vehicle is involved in a collision at any level, an investigation will be undertaken in order to establish the circumstances of the incident. This investigation is ongoing."
