Police blitz town's young troublemakers

POLICE have carried out a blitz against antisocial behaviour in a Lothian town following a spate of vandalism and drunken disorder.

Uniformed foot patrols were stepped up in North Berwick earlier this month and a number of fixed penalty notices were issued to youths who were drunk and disorderly.

Officers are also investigating acts of vandalism in the town's Links Road, where vehicles had wing mirrors kicked off and bodywork scratched.
