Police bid to trace missing woman

POLICE are appealing for information to help trace a woman who has gone missing from her Musselburgh home.

Elizabeth McVey, 50, was last seen at her home address in Eskview Road at around half past midnight today, and was reported missing at around 7.30am.

She is described as being 4ft 11ins tall, average build, collar-length fair hair, with a fresh complexion.

She wears contact lenses, but may be wearing glasses. When last seen she was wearing sky blue pyjama bottoms and a t-shirt.

Police are growing increasingly concerned for her safety, and are appealing for anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact them immediately.

A police spokesman said: "We are anxious for any information that can help trace Elizabeth, who has not been seen since the early hours of this morning.

"Anyone who thinks they may have seen her in Musselburgh today, or who has any information regarding her whereabouts, should contact police immediately."
