Police appeal for witnesses after man is murdered

POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after a man was found dead in Glasgow yesterday.

Officers were called to Duntarvie Road, Easterhouse, at around 5:45am after a report of a disturbance and found that a 21-year-old man had died at the scene.

He was named as Robert Gemmel of Dyke Street, Baillieston. Following a post-mortem examination Mr Gemmel's death is being treated as murder.

A 26-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman suffered minor injuries during the incident.

The woman was treated at the scene, while the man was treated in Glasgow Royal Infirmary before being released.
