Police appeal to help trace missing woman

POLICE are appealing for help in tracing a 44-year-old woman who went missing from her Livingston home in the early hours of Monday morning.

Aileen MacGillivray was last seen in her house in Deanswood Park at 2am and has not been in touch with friends or family since.

Officers said they are becoming concerned for her welfare.

When last seen, she was wearing an olive green fleece, a blue sports coat, navy jogging bottoms, black Ugg boots and glasses.

A police spokesperson said: "We are growing concerned for Mrs MacGillivray's welfare, especially given the freezing weather conditions overnight.

"We would appeal to anyone who may have seen her, or who knows where she is, to contact us as a matter of urgency.

"Further, we would appeal to Aileen directly to get in touch with someone to let us know you are safe and well."
