Police appeal after attack on man, 73

POLICE are appealing for information following a serious assault on a 73-year-old man in Edinburgh.

The incident happened on Thursday evening in Peffermill Road. The victim was in his home when a man forced his way in and attacked him.

The pensioner suffered cuts and a fractured shoulder.
