PM pokes fun at jacketless MP

A LABOUR MP's appearance in short sleeves in the Commons chamber during an emergency statement on rioting prompted David Cameron to quip "someone appears to have stolen his jacket".

Robert Flello broke with tradition as he spoke while wearing a shirt and tie but without the customary jacket. As he was called by Speaker John Bercow there were murmurs of disapproval from Tory MPs.

Responding to the Stoke on Trent South MP's question about police cuts, Mr Cameron joked: "I don't know whether we need an inquiry into safety in the House, but someone seems to have stolen his jacket."
