Plea for witnesses to road accident

POLICE are investigating the death of a pedestrian struck by a car in Edinburgh.

John Carrigan, 54, suffered serious head injuries when hit by a blue Toyota MR2 in Corstorphine High Street on Tuesday, 7 February. He later died in hospital. Lothian and Borders Police are keen to trace the drivers of two cars seen heading east along High Street at the time. One was a silver or grey Rover 75, the other a red Mini with a white roof and mirrors. A spokesman said: “Either driver may have valuable information.”
