Plea for more foster carers

BARNADO'S Scotland is appealing for volunteers in the Capital following a shortage of around 1700 foster carers across the country.

Speaking ahead of Barnardo's Fostering and Adoption Week, which runs next week, Martin Crewe, director of Barnardo's Scotland, said: "The continuing shortage of foster carers is a major concern. We are calling on everyone to ask themselves if they could step up and offer love, support and care for a child or young person."
