Pipe dream comes true

Haddington Pipe Band has landed a record deal to produce a CD of music by the band.

The announcement comes as the perfect launch for the band's 30th anniversary year, which will be celebrated throughout 2011.

"We are absolutely thrilled that Greentrax will be producing this CD in what is a very special year for us," said pipe major David Leckie.

"This will be our first CD and to have been selected by Greentrax - whose track record is quite outstanding - for this venture is amazing for everyone associated with the band.

"We are very much looking forward to taking things forward with Greentrax and are now working hard to ensure that we are prepared."
