Pipe band links up with twin town

Fresh from celebrating its 30th anniversary and launching a CD last year, Haddington Pipe Band is planning a trip to Aubigny-sur-Nère this July to participate in the annual Fête Franco-Ecossaises, or Franco-Scottish Festival.

The band is a regular visitor to Haddington’s twin town in the Centre region of France and said it was always given a rousing reception.

Last year, the Aubigny pipe band visited Haddington in large numbers to support the celebrations here.

“Those who have been to Aubigny in previous years will know just what an amazing and thrilling experience this is for all involved,” said Pipe Major David Leckie. “Aubigny is a beautiful town.”
