Pilley's DNA 'found in car'

DETECTIVES investigating the death of missing Suzanne Pilley have reportedly found DNA traces of her hair and tissue in the boot of her former lover's car.

Reports suggest forensic experts who took samples from David Gilroy's silver car found a match with the 38-year-old, who police believe was murdered in the Edinburgh office basement where she worked on 4 May before her body was dumped in Argyll.

It has been reported that detectives believe Mr Gilroy had his car deep-cleaned just days after Ms Pilley vanished.

Sources reportedly described the DNA find as "not significant" as the pair had a year long affair.

Mr Gilroy, 47, has denied being involved with Ms Pilley's disappearance.
