Philippines: Soldier kills himself on mother's grave

A FORMER head of the Philippine defence forces died in an apparent suicide yesterday shortly before he had been due to face MPs investigating corruption in the military.

Angelo Reyes, 65, was found dead at his mother's grave with a single shot to the chest.
