Pharmacy celebrates major prize

An Edinburgh pharmacy is celebrating after picking up a top industry award at a ceremony on Saturday night.

Barnton Pharmacy won the Innovation and Change in Pharmacy Practice Award at the prestigious Scottish Pharmacist Ball and Awards at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.

Pharmacist Sally Arnison said: "We are thrilled and honoured to accept this award. We have worked very hard at improving the service we offer and making sure we really do listen to what our patients want."

The Innovation and Change in Pharmacy Practice Award is open to any pharmacy in Scotland that has updated or enhanced the physical environment, services, product range, processes or techniques within the last two years.

Pharmacist Leanne Hill said: "Our stock holding and the range and layout of our retail area is much better."
