Pet ferrets ‘Bill and Ted’ abandoned in cardboard box
The Scottish SPCA is appealing for information after two ferrets were abandoned in Livingston.
The charity was alerted when a member of the public found the pets inside a cardboard box at Froggy Park on Saturday at approximately 4.30pm.

Inspector Jenni Surgeon said, “Both Bill and Ted are friendly and in good condition.
“If they had escaped from the cardboard box they would have been at risk from predators such as foxes and we are really glad they are now safe in our care.
“Bill and Ted are lovely big boys who appear to have been well handled.
“We will look after them until we can find them loving new homes.”
Abandoning an animal is an offence under the Animal Health and Welfare (Scotland) Act 2006 and anyone found guilty of doing so can expect to be banned from keeping animals for a fixed period or life.
