Pervert numbers top 500

THE number of convicted sex offenders living in the Lothians reached 519 in March, figures have revealed.

The figures, published by Lothian and Borders Police, showed 316 sex offenders were living in Edinburgh while 104 were living in West Lothian. A total of 99 sex offenders were living in Midlothian and East Lothian.

Meanwhile, another 159 sex offenders from the force area were serving a prison sentence.
