Performers painted by youngsters

THE cast of a new show for two to four year-olds took time out from rehearsals at Musselburgh's Brunton Theatre this week to visit a local nursery.

Andy Manley and Ian Cameron took part in an art class with a difference, donning white paper boiler suits and the children had a fun morning painting - quite literally - the surprise visitors.

Mr Manley said: "the children had the best time covering us with paint.

"I thought they might be a bit shy of these two strange men in white suits, but they weren't at all. It was a lot of fun and it really reminds me why I love performing for this age group."

Catherine Wheels' new show, White, part of the Traverse festival programme, opens on August 5.
