People won't give blood if firms profit

HEALTH ministers were warned yesterday that people could stop giving blood if they believe private firms will profit from their goodwill.

Liberal Democrat Annette Brooke said voluntary donations could be "put at risk" by plans to overhaul the NHS blood service.
