People failing to keep tabs on cash

THE majority of people over-estimate how much money is in their current account, typically thinking they are over £70 better off than they are.

About 83 per cent of people said they did not always know what was going on in their bank account, according to high street bank Barclays. But people who use mobile banking were better at keeping tabs on their finances.
