Pedestrian crossing hit woman '˜serious but stable'

A woman has been hit by a car at a pedestrian crossing in Glasgow.

Police said the 19-year-old was at the crossing on Springburn Road, near to Petershill Road, when she was struck by a black car at 10.25am on Friday.

Emergency services attended and the woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where staff describe her condition as “serious but stable”.

Constable Grant Neilson said: “I would appeal to anyone who was on Springburn Road around the time of the incident and may have seen what happened to get in touch.”
