Pearl makes a clean start on murals

PEARL O'Sullivan helps clean a set of murals in the entrance hall of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery, the first time in a quarter of a century they have been spruced up.

The images were created by William Hole in the late 1890s and feature a parade of famous Scots, including David Livingstone, Robert Burns, Adam Smith, David Hume, the Stuart monarchs, James Watt, and Robert the Bruce.

The conservation project has been funded by WREN community cash.
