PCs hit by skidding car

TWO police officers were hospitalised after being struck by a car that is understood to have skidded on black ice on the A77 yesterday.

A male and female PC on foot patrol were last night being treated at Kilmarnock's Crosshouse Hospital after being hit by the car at 9.50am on Christmas Day.
