Pay deals for North Sea workers sealed

THOUSANDS of North Sea contract workers have accepted a revised pay offer which will give them an average pay rise of almost £2,000 a year.

The agreement was reached following talks between the main offshore unions and the Offshore Contractors' Association, the organisation which represents contract companies with a combined workforce of more than 20,000 employees.
