Patients evacuated after power cut

Patients were evacuated from a community hospital in Moray after it suffered a black-out.

Twenty-four emergency response Red Cross volunteers were called to Leanchoil Hospital in Forres on Sunday evening to help transfer the 13 patients, mostly elderly, to other hospitals in Moray after the power failure. The teams, using 12 vehicles, including Land Rover ambulances, helped staff take patients to hospitals in Buckie, Dufftown and Elgin.
