A Fife police spokesman said there appeared to be no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.

John Wilson of NHS Fife said: “An incident took place at Queen Margaret Hospital in the early hours of this morning. It is subject to a police inquiry and therefore it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time.”
