Party plunge victim named

A WOMAN who fell to her death from the window of a flat in Dundas Street has been named as Emma Louise Paterson from Blackhall in Edinburgh.

The 33-year-old fell from the first floor window into the basement area in front of the property in the early hours of Sunday morning.

It is thought that she was attending a party at the property and slipped from the window ledge.

Emergency services staff declared her dead at the scene.

Police said today that her death was not being treated as suspicious, and a report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
