Park prices in spotlight

A FULL report is to be produced detailing the cost of hiring Edinburgh's parks.

City council officials will present the report later this year following a motion by Conservative councillor Joanna Mowat.

The report is also to detail the process for agreeing licences for outdoor events. It follows concerns about the annual funfair on the Meadows only being granted its licence this year on the afternoon that rides were to start operating.

The motion came during a discussion of the new Edinburgh Parks Manifesto, produced by city council officials.
