Paramedic accused over shopping trip

A PARAMEDIC is being investigated over claims an ambulance on call to collect
a patient was diverted in order to go on a shopping trip.

The medic is alleged to
have gone shopping at a PC World store in Dunfermline, Fife, when the ambulance was responding to a call from a doctor to take someone to hospital.

A fellow ambulance worker who learned of the incident is understood to have raised the complaint.
