Panorama of Edinburgh street set for world photo collection

A panorama of Edinburgh's Victoria Street will be included in a collection of the most stunning alternative views of the world's finest cities.

Photographer Jorg Dietrich will now return to the capital to complete his shot before adding it to the 101Cityscapes project.

The image was selected following a public vote to determine which lesser-known view of the capital should be put forward.

Victoria Street was chosen by members of the Lost Edinburgh Facebook page over panoramas of Charlotte Square and High Street.

Photographers from all over the world have captured some of the finest cities - from Amsterdam to Moscow and Istanbul - as part of the

101Cityscapes venture which captures unique perspectives on familiar places.
