Pan starts blaze at flats

FIREFIGHTERS were called to a blaze in a ground floor flat after a pan caught alight.

The fire, at Standhill Court, in Bathgate, was spotted by a neighbour at 9.53pm last night.

Six firefighters and an ambulance treated a 52-year-old man for smoke inhalation. He did not require hospital treatment.
