Pair hunted after Fife woman robbed in own home

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 62-year-old woman was robbed at her home in Fife.The incident happened at around 8.45am on Tuesday in the Alexander Street area of Kirkcaldy.Jewellery and a money box containing a four-figure sum of cash was stolen.One attacker, a man, is described as being aged about 40, 5ft 10in and of skinny build. He has a local accent and was wearing a blue hooded top.The second attacker is shorter, skinny, spoke with a 'squeaky' voice and was wearing a cream baseball cap.Detective Sergeant Colin Potter said: 'This has been a distressing incident for the resident.'I would appeal for anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed anything suspicious to contact the police.'Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
