Firefighters have worked through the night tackling a blaze at a recycling centre.

The fire, at a two-storey building at Solway Recycling in the Shawhead area near Dumfries, was reported at around 4pm on Sunday.

At the height of the incident, up to 45 firefighters with nine appliances were dealing with the blaze in Dumfries and Galloway.

Three appliances were still at the scene at 6.30am on Monday.

There were no reports of any casualties.
