Yes will cost UK

According to the Nationalists nothing will change, except for the better, after independence.

This is pure fantasy. If the Nationalists win, nothing will ever be the same again for anyone living in the British Isles.

Change costs and the greater the change the higher the costs. Consider the implications of the SNP plans for Scotland’s defence on the rest of the UK.

The UK has a long-term
commitment to defend and
protect 14 overseas territories across the world, makes a significant contribution to Nato and provides support for its many
allies.

Consequently, the 14 ships, 18 planes and other equipment transferred to Scotland will need to be replaced at a significant cost to the rest of the UK.

There are also the costs of
civil service staff relocation and possibly redundancies in practically every area of UK central government operating in Scotland.

After independence, the best that Scotland could hope for from the rest of the UK is an attitude of – “you wanted independence, you got it, get on with it.

“Don’t bother us or expect anything from us, you’re on your own.”
