X-rated art

Your judgment is extremely questionable as to what is newsworthy and what images are fit to be published in a family 
newspaper. The front page lead on Jack Vettriano’s X-rated paintings (21 September) is hardly news but is free publicity for the artist and gallery. To then print these “artworks” on page 3 was to compound the poor editorial judgment shown.

I am astonished that you consider The Scotsman to be a serious newspaper. This is more fitting of a “lads’ mag”. I think you should apologise to your readers.
