Wrong Victory

HMS Victory was nothing of the kind “captained by Admiral Nelson in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805” (“£5m funding boost for HMS Victory”, 22 June). The Victory was the vice-admiral’s flagship and her captain was Thomas Masterman Hardy, who would survive Trafalgar to become First Sea Lord and governor of Greenwich Naval Hospital.
